How do I change cigarette lighter fuse bmw 325xi 2004? I know it's located in glove compartment top side. On the paper in it it says it's equipment number 47 and australia 47 and 26. I look at it on top and it says fuse 5 and replacement fuse 11 but there are many %26quot;5%26quot; numbered fuses and white numbers indicating number 11. I replaced one 5 fuse with the one on 11 spot and it still didn't work. Please help

Use a Buss fuse tester (part of a $4 fuse kit from Walmart) or a multimeter, and check fuses one by one... and simply replace the blown one!How to change cigarette lighter fuse bmw 325xi 2004?
How do you know that you have a fuse problem? Perhaps you really have but have you checked for power with key on at the cigarette
lighter socket itself? Do this with a multimeter at a voltage setting higher than 12 volts dc. Touch the ground cable to the side of the socket and the positive cable to the center terminal of the socket
and you should get 12 volts/battery voltage.
When unsure which fuse among those listed applies to you car,
then remove them one by one and check for continuity by setting the multimeter at resistance (any) and touch both ends of the fuse with the multimeter electrodes (it should read very close to zero, if at 1 then the fuse has blown and should be replaced).
Alternatively, you can set the multimeter to 12 volts dc or higher and touch the ground electrode to a metal part of the body and the
positive electrode to both ends of the fuse one at a time with the ignition key on.
You should get 12 volts or battery power at both ends.
