Make sure to replace it with the same amp fuse. If it is a 15 amp, then don't put a 20, etc...Can someone find me the 2000 ford taurus user manual? I need to find out how to change the lighter fuse...?
open the fuse panel, on the little door you removed should be a sticker or such showing what is what.
lighter is normally alone or maybe with radio or interior lights, should say. figure 10amp (think thats red). just pull it out and push in a new one, that simple.

Get a pair of needle nose pliers and remove the fuses one at a time. You will be able to see a burnt out fuse. It's probably a 10 amp fuse. May be green.
