i have a panasonic tau and i have had to change the fuse roughly every week, i dont want to get a new tvbecause this one is a good one, is there anyway i would be able to fix the problem without getting techs involved? How do i stop my tv from blowing the fuse?
You're probably stuffing a 6.3 Amp FAST-BLO fuse in it when it needs a 6.3 Amp TIME DELAY FUSE....
Everybody does it the first time, especially when the fuse looks the same as a Fast Blo fuse.....
You gotta get TIME DELAY fuses...get them from the manufacturer....How do i stop my tv from blowing the fuse?
You might want to change the location of the tv so that it is on another circuit breaker. Each breaker can only work with so much electricity being used. I would check your fuse box to see what each one covers and figure out where you can put your tv.How do i stop my tv from blowing the fuse?
I PRESUME YOU MEAN THE FUSE INSIDE THE TV AND NOT THE CIRCUIT BREAKER . IF SO MOST LIKELY HEAT , PUT A FAN WHERE IT CAN KEEP IT COOLER . IF YOU HAVE IT ON A LIGHT EXTENSION CORD , UP GRADE THE WIRE SIZE OR PLUG STRAIGHT INTO THE RECEPTACLEHow do i stop my tv from blowing the fuse?
You're replacing the fuse because, like you say, you need to fix the problem with the set. Obviously, there is an intermittent problem in the set that may need a tv tech.
Normally a short is the cause for a fuse to blow , but, I would guess either your power supply circuit or horizontal output circuit may be drawing too much current %26amp; taking the fuse out.
If you are anyways handy around this stuff, you can visually look inside the tv %26amp; check for possibly bad connections or any signs of excess heat or scorching on the pc board.
It may require a some more intense troubleshooting which may require a service call.
