There is a little fuse at the underhood fuse box. The grey boxes are relays and there is a silver box to check which is a circuit breaker. Just wiggle them out to remove them. Check the underhood fuse block-look for 'RT I/P 3'-this fuse controls the rear defogger. There is also a circuit breaker at the right side fuse block in the instrument panel. Open the passenger front door, pull the side dash cover off and look for REAR DEFOG BRKR. You can swap it with the breaker above it to see if it's the breaker that is bad. There is also a REAR DEFOG RELAY to the left of the breaker. Put your finger on it and turn the defogger on and off and see if you can feel it 'clicking'. If you can then the relay should be OK. Hope this helps.Does anybody know how to change a fuse for the rear defogger on a 2003 impala?
they might be the same as my olds, its those little spade type fuses, just pull it out and put a new 1 in.Does anybody know how to change a fuse for the rear defogger on a 2003 impala?
Are you speaking of the under hood fuses or the inside fuse panel, the underhand fuses are for more heavy duty stuff, the defogger fuse would be under the dash somewhere on the inside fuse panel, those are small fuses you just pull out with your fingers or a fuse puller
